ANOTHER AMAZING SUNSET IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.

The summer South Swell continued to filter in during the beginning of august, making it the best summer in years.

Here an unknown surfer pulls in over some dry reef.

I was lucky to get a few good barrels during these swells, and even luckier to have a photographer.

Here I give my son Kai the lay of the land.

Here my 7 year old boy Kai shows me how much he has learned in a few years. .

Here I am about to take off.

I really dont mind small waves... as long as its big enough to throw some spray or punt an air.

I was lucky enough to pull into a few really nice little barrels, and someone was there to get a few photos.

Coming fast off the bottom....

Coming down after a pretty nice 180 air..

One of the rare secret spots I catch now and then.... no one surfs here.

My brother BK got this photo of me pulling in on a really rare day of clear ocean water. Notice the puffs of sand off the bottom.

Pulling in to a barrel really close to town.

The water was so pretty this day... I wish the ocean was always this clean.

Even when its small, its really fun to get a good crack in on the lip.

During the biggest south swell of the year, the sets could easily catch you with surprise.

This wave was grinding top to bottom, right over dry reef.

The swells filtered in through the first 10 days of August, and I was lucky enough to be at the right spots.

Here I free-fell over a steep ledge right in front of the rockpile... good times!

I made it, and I got to snap it all the way to the beach.

A really fun day.

Here I am finishing off my turn off the top, and I was trying to kep my speed up. It was just the beginning..

A full wrap-around roundhouse cutback.

Here I shot through this key-hole in the rocks... it was almost like shooting through the pier.

There were many random reefs going off in August. Here I showed up and got some nice photos. WAY up north.

If u havent checked these WATER PHOTOS by Charlie Witmer  taken in July, check 'em out!

Evening sunset surfing during the July 25-28 South Swell that rocked the Pacific. California fired up good waves and surf.

An amazing photo from the South Swell that rocked the Wedge in Newport, which created 25 foot waves.

Here my friend Wes flies off the top of a powerful wave during the big swell.

Some summer kelp attacks Wes' leash.

Wes cracking the lip off another summer line.

Wes again on a really fun day.
