Wayne has lived in Hawaii for years, back and forth from Northern California. Pipeline is his favorite wave, and although he may not always be in Hawaii it is in his blood. Many winter seasons has given Wayne the experience to tackle these dangerous waves safely. Do not paddle out at Big Pipeline without the experience first! Beginners paddle out there, and people die every year. The locals make it look so easy, and it gives outsiders a false sense of confidence. There are places that you need to tackle first. If you are not shopping for the nastiest waves in your area every day, don't try Pipe. Respect it!
